1st day

Arrival in Budapest, check in. Orientation tour (first part of the sightseeing). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

   

2nd day

After breakfast comes a whole day sightseeing in Budapest, visiting the historical monuments, with entrence to the Parliament and the State Opera House. Time for an individual lunch. After lunch visit to the ZOO. Dinner at the hotel.

3rd day

Excursion to the Danube Bend. Visit to the Basilica of Esztergom (the biggest Roman Catholic Chuch of Hungary) and to the medieval castle of Visegrád (opportunity for a ride on summer bob). Proceed to Szentendre (a village of Serbian population in earlier times, today a romantic city with several museums). Visit to the Open Air Museum of Ethnography, which is a nice collection of old traditional Hungarian village architecture. Dinner at the hotel in Budapest.

4th day

Excursion to the Lázár Equestrian Park (near Gödöllő). On the way a visit to the baroque Castle of Gödöllő, which was the favourite place of Empress Elisabeth/Sissi in the 19th century. We proceed to the Csárda (a country restaurant) at the Equestrian Park where a typical Hungarian lunch is served with gipsy music. After lunch you can watch a horse show and visit a traditional peasant's yard. A trip with horse driven coaches and riding possibility are also included. Dinner at the hotel.

   

5th day

After breakfast you leave Budapest

Further possibilities:

Ride on the cog wheel railway to the Széchenyi Hill, a connecting ride on the Children's railway in the Buda Hills and back to the valley by a chairlift.
